§ iAbout David A. Yergey, Jr.
David A. Yergey, Jr. is a Senior Partner at Yergey & Yergey, P.A., the third generation of Yergey attorneys to practice law in Orlando. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1983 immediately after his admission to The Florida Bar, became a Partner in 1989, and has practiced continuously in Orange County for more than four decades.
His practice covers probate administration, guardianship, estate and trust litigation, and civil matters, with a particular focus on fiduciary representation. He has represented parties in fiduciary roles including Personal Representative, Guardian, and Court Monitor, and has testified as an expert witness on attorney's fees in multiple Florida counties.
A Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator since 2020 and a Florida-licensed real estate broker since 1986, David A. Yergey, Jr. holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell — the highest peer-review rating an attorney can receive.
Outside the practice, he has served on more than a dozen boards and committees across Central Florida, including the Boards of Lake Highland Preparatory School (the school his father helped found), Edgewood Children's Ranch, Central Florida Fair, and Commerce National Bank Shares of Florida. He resides in Winter Park with his wife and three children.
